There is nothing worse than getting unwanted calls. Before City ID I answered practically every call. I was doing this because I live in Massachusetts, which is one of the states with way too many area codes. Once I bought City ID, I was able to determine if I should take the call or not depending on the town or city the call was coming from.

I live in NY, I was selling a house in Virginia and I was in California for a job interview. While in the interview, my phone rang every few minutes with calls from family and coworkers so I could safely ignore them. But, when I saw a call came in from Leesburg, VA, I knew I had to take it... It's a good thing I took it – a buyer was yelling and ready to walk out because one appliance wasn't working the way she expected... Over the phone, I was able to work out a deal to fix the appliance. If not for City ID, I would have probably let the call go to voice mail and the closing would have fallen through.

There is no other product as simple to use as City ID. I travel and work with people from all over the country, and it is great to know where people are calling from... City ID has saved me a lot of money because it also identifies missed calls from the US and Canada. If I miss a call from someone in Canada, I know not to return the call from my cell phone as I don't have an international calling plan.

Nine of us were trying to coordinate our activities to attend my niece's graduation ceremony at the Academy of Arts College. There were four of us (adults) with cell phones, but for one reason or another, their cell phones were either turned off or weren't getting reception. Time was running out and the ceremony had started, but nobody knew the address because they couldn't reach one another. Luckily, one of them called me from a borrowed phone and I knew it must have been them because of the location of the call.
