Agere Systems and Cequint Sign Patent License Agreement

SEATTLE, WA – Oct. 1, 2004 – Cequint, Inc. announced today that it has finalized a patent licensing agreement with Agere Systems Inc. (NYSE: AGR.A, AGR.B) for wireless and land-line based caller identification technology. The license provides Cequint with sole rights under Agere's patents to make, use, sell or sublicense products under this agreement. "The addition of Agere's patents to our own pending applications bolsters our growing IP portfolio for City ID," said Mark Gosselin, co-founder and CTO. Cequint's City ID technology allows wireless carriers and handset OEM's to offer incoming geographic call information to their customers.
