City ID™ Loaded on over 2 Million Alltel Wireless Handsets

Application Passes Milestone Mark after Only 10 Months

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. & SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE); Mar. 18, 2008 –City ID™, an embedded call feature that helps identify unknown callers by displaying the city and state assigned to an incoming phone number, now is available on more than 2 million Alltel Wireless phones. Alltel Wireless and Cequint today announced that the application reached this milestone after less than 10 months on the market.

In May of 2007, Alltel Wireless began pre-loading the embedded application on all new handsets, starting with the LG AX275. Since then, Alltel has made the feature available on additional devices, including handsets by Motorola and Samsung. The most recent Alltel handset to feature City ID is the new LG Glimmer. Alltel Wireless is the first carrier to offer the enhanced Caller ID feature, and provides the service initially with an automatic free 15-day trial. When the trial expires, City ID is available for a monthly charge of $1.99.

“Customers frequently do not recognize an incoming phone number and City ID provides additional information to help customers decide if they want to answer the call,” said Scott Bergs, senior vice president of customer solutions for Alltel Wireless. “Customer response to this unique application has been extremely positive due to the control it gives subscribers.”

City ID is a patented calling feature created by Cequint, Inc., the leading developer of Caller ID technology for wireless phones. City ID automatically matches any incoming phone number with the city and state where the number is registered. The application identifies incoming numbers from more than 20,000 North American cities including towns as small as 700 residents.

“It’s human nature to want to know who is calling you before answering. Instead of feeling frustrated by unknown numbers, City ID subscribers are empowered with a simple tool that adds value with each incoming call. In today’s complex wireless environment, it’s great to see a simple service have so much success,” said Rick Hennessey, Cequint’s chief executive officer.
