AT CEQUINT, WE RECOGNIZE THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING INVOLVED IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
AS A COMPANY, WE HAVE CHOSEN TO FOCUS OUR EFFORTS ON ORGANIZATIONS THAT ASSIST CHILDREN, especially those with special needs. Through partnerships with the Sailing Heritage Society and the Parent Trust for Washington Children, Cequint is providing resources and encouragement to help children and families, and strengthen our communities.
SAILING HERITAGE SOCIETY Sailing Heritage Society began over 27 years ago when Captain George Todd started offering free trips around Lake Union aboard the 65’ schooner, Mallory Todd, to patients from nearby Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. Today they provide over 100 free trips each year for a broad range of community and social service organizations. Each summer, our employees crew sailing trips for “Cequint Kids.” These afternoons on the water are as beneficial to our company culture as they are to the special children that we host, and we appreciate the chance to play a small part in enabling this community service.
PARENT TRUST FOR WASHINGTON CHILDREN Parent Trust for Washington Children offers unique solutions for the entire family through effective, free or low cost classes, workshops, and coaching. With more than 30 years experience, offices in both eastern and western Washington, and partnerships across the state, Parent Trust is a respected, dependable source of education and support for parents, caregivers, children, teens, and the professional community. Cequint recently sponsored the Parent Trust 2011 “Taste of Spring” wine gala, helping increase fundraising from the previous year. We look forward to supporting future events.
