We are looking for a highly versatile software engineer: analytical, sharp, quick, a generalist. As a mobile phone software designer on BREW and/or J2ME devices, you will be responsible for early development, deployment, and migration of our integrated mobile applications to multiple handsets with various OEMs and carriers.
The primary role is for you to act as a design and implementation engineer to facilitate the development of the Cequint product roadmap and enable the efficient scaling and distribution of the applications. Your challenge is to create a superior user experience while producing an efficient and easy to maintain software infrastructure suitable for a myriad of mobile devices.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of software development/testing experience in relevant technologies
- Experience in the embedded and/or mobile domain
- Demonstrable experience with software testing and release processes
- English language skills, spoken and written
- Solid communication skills, ability to attend to detail
Experience with or exposure to:
- JAVA./J2ME development
- BREW development
- C/C++ in the Windows environment (Visual Studio, JNI)
- JUnit testing framework
- JNI development of Java classes.
- RIM devices
- Embedded software
- Networking and mobile network communications
- High-availability services and servers
- Software development throughout the lifecycle
- Commercial product deployment

We are looking for a highly versatile software QA engineer: analytical, sharp, quick, a generalist. As a mobile handset software test engineer, you will be responsible for validating the integration of our mobile applications for multiple OEM platforms and carrier networks. Along with analyzing the system architecture and applications, your challenge is to create the test strategy, create the test scenarios, and write and execute the test plans.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 4+ years of software development/testing experience in relevant technologies
- A “tester’s mindset”
- Demonstrable experience with software testing and release processes
- English language skills, spoken and written
- Solid communication skills, ability to attend to detail
Experience with or exposure to:
- C/C++ in the Windows environment (Visual Studio, JNI)
- C/C++ in the Linux environment (Eclipse)
- JUnit testing framework
- J2ME development
- JNI development of Java classes.
- Embedded software
- Networking and mobile network communications
- High-availability services and servers
- Software development throughout the lifecycle
- Commercial product deployment
